We found deposits of FeCO3 in the piston of a natural gas compressor. The gas directly from the well pass through an inlet separator before entering the compressor. We also found organic material that covered the FeCO3 deposit. One thing to mention is that molar % of CO2 is almost 0.
I would like to know what is the cause of this deposit. Any ideas???
Thanks.

so, there is no vacuum farther upstream? How about a CO2 treat way upstream? Other than that, the FeCO3 has to be coming from the formation.
