derating temperature according to DNV OS F101 1

Hello every body, I wonder why the DNV gave us only informations about the derating value for yield stress fy,temp (Fig 5.1) and not for tnsile stress fu,temp knowing that we have to use both of them. Is there any way to determine fu,temp according to DNV ?

There is a guidance note in section 5. If no de-rating exists for ultimate strength, then the drop for the yield can be used conservatively.

Failing that there are papers out there documenting for specific applications, but you will have to search for these.

You're talking about the guidance note that gave us the fiugere 5-1 right?
but that figure only gave us the derating factor for yield stress (fy,temp ) and not the derating factor for tensile stress (fu,temp)
I mean should I look some where for a similar information ? is that what u ment by saying that I have to search for that ?

The graph on DNV-OS-F101 Section 5 C304 is the temperature derating for yield stress. The guidance note suggests you can use this graph for the ultimate stress ALSO, that is if you cannnot find derating information for the ultimate stress. Taking the former approach would be a conservative, i.e. assuming the ultimate stress is equal to the yield stress.
