I am working on a design checker. I want include several check parameters in my DC-Standard file (.swstd).

Under the assembly tab, I have a choose a interference check parameter. When I run check, I expect the interferences to show up in the failure box, instead, it shows up in the passed list.

I expect it to show up in the failure list.

See, that's the problem. Everyone is always expecting SolidWorks to fail. Then the moment is passes they don't know what to do.

(Sorry, it's Monday and I've been fighting a cold since Thursday. Carry on with normal responses)

Jeff, here is the reason for expecting the interference to show up in the failure.

My requirement is when parts interfere with each other when assembled, there is is something wrong somewhere. Disign checker consider this as a pass & I cant know where this interference is. If it consider this as a failure, it would list in that group, & when I expand (Click +) it, i can see the names of the parts that actually interfere. THis way I can fix it.

The TolAnalyst function would be more suitable for checking/analysing tolerances.

I believe the interference detection of Design Checker is intended for checking physical volume interference of the model, along with adherence to a prescribed design and drafting standard.

Try using 'Any' to flag all interferences and see if that works.

I have tried Any. That's not working.
Alternatively, I tried Sensors. This works. I would get a warning as soon as any part interferes with another.

Thanks

CBL, I got your message, when you suggested to use Tolanalyst.
But, I am talking about interference of parts Physically between each other. I sometimes have to work with a group, assemble parts created by different users. In a situation, if couple of users modify geometry of their parts and wouldn't communicate the change.

If I have a Design checker or a sensor in place, it would red flag this immediately.
