PV that use as integral of rotating equipments are excluded of BPVC VIII-1. Which Code/Standard can be used as rule of construction for those PV?

As a purchaser or purchaser's engineer or the manufacturer, one could still require the pressure vessel (like pulsation dampeners, filters, etc.) to be manufactured and stamped per ASME VIII. Filters could and are often designed to the piping code.

I would say to supplement the ASME VIII PV code with the most appropriate Code/Standard applicable to the rotating equipment.

Paper mills have their Cast Dryer Can Rolls certified w/ASME stamps. I am certain they have to meet all requirements of VIII as well as other requirements necessary for operation.
