Looking at possibly adding cold formed steel design to our list of services...
While very familiar with coming up with a design fee for conventionally framed building / engineer of record projects, am debating what the best way is to estimate hours of design that may go into a proposal to do cold formed steel design.
Those that already offer this service...do you base it on a percentage of overall project cost, tonnage of cold formed steel (if so, how do you estimate up front), expected number of sheets in the project, etc?
