Design for walking excitation

Hello,

I have to reach the frequancy for large span slab more than 4HZ, but i misunderstand what are the loads that i should include them in time period and mass source definition.
should the self weight only be included or self weight plus super imposed dead load and the sustained live load?

Whatever the normal loading is going to be on the slab structure. So, include super-imposed dead... But, a realistic instead of a conservative number. Same thing with sustained live.

If I recall, I think it's only a portion of the live load. If you can get a copy of AISC's design guide 11, that should give you a good indication of the procedure. This paper from AISC has it at 20% of the live load:

If I recall when I used to do these calculations, we used 10-20% of the live load.

So, should i include the finishes weight on slab or not in vibration calculation ?

Finishes count as superimposed dead loads and should be included in the calculation.
