Does anyone know the design snow (or rain or wind) load for Point Tupper, Nova Scotia (in the middle of the spit of land between St Georges Bay and Chedabucto Bay, next to the town of Port Hawkesberry), or where I might find these?

Thanks!

Is there a local government building department that you can contact?

Usually, even with code prescribed loads, I call the local building department to see what they have adopted as their local code requirements as many times these are different than the actual values found in the code.

Usually an internet search for "city-name Building Department" usually does the trick.

The Appendix to the NBC of Canada has these values as well. The NBC structural commentaries has a lot of good info on ponding and drifting. They do it a little differently than ASCE 7 does.
