I have SW - 2005, and I need a sampel Design Table to help me get started can some one help?

Open a part, select sketch, draw a rectangle and extrude. Make a new configuration, double click on the extrude feature. Double click on the extrude length, select "this configuration only" and enter a different length. Select Insert/Design table from the menu, check autocreate and you have a reference design table.

You will enjoy working with Design Tables very much when you get used to them. It is important to know when to say when though, I have worked in places that get carried away with design tables. It is nice to have a bunch of configurations in one file but sometimes it is quite cumbersome to deal with 95 configurations of an assembly with 30 plus configurations of each component part. Keep it simple and define when a part becomes it's own part rather than a configuration of another.
