I am designing the underground parking slab. It will be a solid slab that is roughly 25m x 27m. About one third of it will be at a lower elevation with a part of it having a 6% incline to connect to the rest of it. I have consulted our senior engineer and he told to design it as if it were a regular slab. He told me that I will have to account for the moments generated by this type of slab. The moments will be resisted by the columns in the middle along with the edge walls. My question is how do I calculate the moments that will be induced in the columns. Thanks.
