Hello Everyone,

Please can you guide me whether we can design lattice tower members with pin connection or fixed or combination of both?

It can be done both ways, pending on cost of fabrication and assembling.
 
For typical lattice towers made of angle iron, the pinned assumption is usually considered appropriate.

Good Afternoon All. Typically the legs will be spliced or flange bolted together appearing as a fixed connection. However, it's conservative to model them as a pinned joint with an unbraced length between the panel points. The bracing members shall be treated as pinned or fixed depending on their end connections. TIA has a very specific section varying the effective slenderness ratios for bracing members as well. I would consult there as I've found it easier to page through the JoshPlumSE's ASCE reference.
 
"CAN" you design as fixed, pinned, or both?....yes. Should you?....No, in my opinion. A lattice tower is nothing more than a "vertical truss". Following that logic, traditional truss analysis and my personal practice is to use pinned connections. Additionally, these type of structures typically use angles or other thin members that are not capable of developing any significant moment capacity or resistance to rotation. Pinned for me all day long.
