Hi,i have modeled a part which shows great match with the results (of a paper that was published years ago..)
(part is compressed between two disks, dynamic explicit solver, disk displacement is by boundary conditions )
Anyway i only can't get the part to fail:

my steps to overcome this:(adding ductile damage and element deletions )

my results(which the output plot is way off and is still continuous)

You must also request STATUS variable in field output requests and, after the simulation is completed, set Result —> Field Output —> Status Variable —> Use status variable.

@femway ,thanks so much .what does this variable is supposed to do? does it refine the curves and limits to failure strain? because model collapsed just like before
(i marked "use variable " and don't know what to change next and it keeps asking for inserting a selection value )(my faliure strain is 0.024)

STATUS variable correspnds to element status (1 - active, 0 - inactive). It’s necessary for elemwnt deletion. Inactive elements are not displayed in results.
