Hello All,

I'm preparing a checklist that should comply with ASME 14.100 Drafting standards. Does anyone has reference for check list? That would help drafters to reduce the errors before submitting to delivery. Could anyone help on this?

Thank you for your time and support

Thanks & Regards

DesEngineer4,

Not ASME Y14.100, but very important...

All drawings shall be inspectable...

[li]Each feature has a dimension and tolerance. General tolerances in the notes are okay. Specifying a profile tolerance for undimensioned features and/or for the 3D[ ]model is okay.[/li]
[li]All tolerances are achievable. If the fabricator is making a "best effort", you are not in control. [/li]
[li]Drafting standards are followed. GD&T standards like ASME[ ]Y14.5 assure that everyone reads the same manual and agrees on what all the symbols and numbers mean.[/li]
[li]You have a strategy for inspecting everything.[/li]

To follow on to what Drawoh said...
Within ASME Y14.5, the fundamental rules of proper dimensioning are listed (sort of a checklist) in paragraph 4.1, subparagraphs (a) through (s).
