Can you post at least a screen capture showing what you say you're seeing on the screen but which is not showing-up on your prints?

OK, try this...

Select the detail view, press MB3, select 'View Dependent Edit...'. When the 'View Dependent Edit' dialog opens, go to the section labeled 'Delete Edits' and select the 3rd icon, titled 'Delete All Edits'. You will be asked if you really want to delete the edits and you will select 'Yes' and you'll be returned to the View Dependent dialog where you will then hit OK and your detailed view should now have a boundary. At least I think that this will resolve your 'problem'.

Anyway, give it a shot and let me know what happens.

Somehow you've managed to delete/remove-from-view the boundary circle which under normal circumstances is impossible to create a circular bounded Detail View.

OK, there are two additional ways in which the permanent circle could have been removed-from-view.

First, go to...

Format -> Layer Settings...

...and toggle all listed layers to be visible.

If that doesn't cause the boundary of your Detail View to show-up, without changing the Layer settings that you just changed, now go to...

Edit -> Show and Hide -> Show All

Now if you still can't see the boundary for your Detailed View, I don't what else to try. I suggest that you contact GTAC, send them your Drawing files and have them look at what might be the problem.

I just had a similar issue that was resolved with resetting some layers. (you would think that the view circle would be on the same layer in the parent view and detail view but it's not) but I was unsure if that was my original problem and would be covered under Johns earlier posting
