I have a view from CATIA V4 that was projected at some random orientation relative to the global axis system. I need to be able duplicate this orientation for new 3d data in V5 so I can superpose the view from V5 and V4. The V4 view is isolated.

In this view, are there any edges that are represented as a point? (Another way to ask; is the view oriented perpendicular to any 3D lines?)

If not, are any round features represented in the view with true circles?

You could probably do so with some trigonometric calculations. Is there any way you could crate a block aligned to xyz axes take a screenshot to upload without showing sensitive company data so we can attempt to help you out.
