Hi all,

"DHCP client could not obtain IP adress"

What does this message mean? How can I get rid of it?

(Despite clicking on NO on the question "Do you want to see this message again?", the message shows up once more on start up). I have WINNT4 with SP6a.

Thanks for helping.

DHCP is a dynamic IP address configuration method, whereby your computer does not have a fixed IP address and instead, requests an IP address assignment from a DHCP server. Your computer is thus configured. If you are not really using your network, you can simply set the NT for a fixed IP address.
