We have a cooling pumping system where we usually will run propylene-glycol-water mixture. But for floor test we are using just water which is looped thru a DI resin tank to drop the conductivity, specially thru aluminum heat exchangers.

As long as the system runs, we don't get any problem we see conductivity drop, but as soon as we shut it down system burps thru expansion tank (located at a higher point in the room). I beleive there is still water reacting with aluminum to produce gas bubbles that try to vent violently.

Does anybody know of similar problem and how have they resolved it.

I apreciate your help
