diameter extension line not showing from component

Hello,

Need some help. In the attached sample assy/drawing you'll see that the diameter shown has no extension lines. This seems to only happen when there are features in the assembly. If we create this same assy with the over-molded rubber as a component, the extension line will show.

Any ideas?
