Hello,

I was wondering if this has been done? Also, are the graphs in the book digitalized? Thanks.

Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards,
Vuk

I don't think it's been done (I haven't heard of it) ... it would be a great addition !

There have been a few systematic reviews of The last Bruhn... correcting/enhancing the book text, building detailed indices, etc. Look on line.

Nonetheless, what You are asking... a gigantic task... is typical of major aircraft companies... and would be closely held proprietary.

To a small degree, there are a few websites that has some of what you are asking about... but books/texts prevail... send $$s.

Abbott Aerospace... books, tech data, spreadsheets, etc.
Martin Hollman... Books
Jan Roskam... Books
to name a few...

READING/calculating 'frames' the concepts... allowing appropriate use of automated processes.

OH YEAH... and the data/tables/charts/etc in Bruhn [and most documents after publishing] are ancient... USE of latest data is strongly recommended.

+1 for Abbott Aero. The spreadsheets were free, last I checked.

Dee-Amm ! that Abbott site is fantastic ! open access (for now !) does it have your decompression s/sheet ?

Abbott = free, but you get what you pay for. Check carefully.

For something a bit more intellectual try: Gran corporation.

Gran is quite a character from what I've heard. Among other things, he's written a book on the internal loads of spider webs.

No way would I have let that one out of the barn. I was the sole author, for an audience of one, NDA signed.

Ng2020,
Could you share contact/website info for "Gran"? I remember seeing "the Gran Design" at one point many many years ago, but I can't find it any more.

SW... Decompression... as in compartment decompression...?

Wil, Yes, that exactly. My model was validated against an OEM's own data. Took a lot of work, but when it did work, well gosh darn ain't that neat! And scary when you think about how bad it could be if the "worst case" ever happens.

NG2020, Thank you!

I don't see any calculations on Gran's site. Somehow, though, I seem to remember a CD-ROM of extras that came with the errata, and I sure thought it was Gran.
But I do see the spoked wheels and orb spiders, which are cool.

Hi Wil,
The forum at HBA is for members-only. Though I would encourage anyone who is interested to register. The discussions are fun, there, too.
