Diesel above grade black steel Fuel Oil Pipe joints

Folks, following is typical pipe joints I have specified for sometime, but could not find the code that governs it. I looked up NFPA stds, Fire Code, etc but to no avial. Can someone point me to where I can find the code info? Thanks!

3/4" AND SMALLER: SCHEDULE 40 BLACK STEEL, CLASS 150, THREADED.
1" TO 2": SCHEDULE 40 BLACK STEEL, STANDARD WEIGHT SOCKET WELD.
2-1/2" AND LARGER: SCHEDULE 40 BLACK STEEL, STANDARD WEIGHT BUTT WELD.

Are you going to tell us what the Heck you're building and where you are trying to build it? There are codes covering many different types of facilities and different codes may be applicable in different locations.

BTW There is no such "black steel" pipe specification that I know of in any piping code I've ever seen, so be prepared to rewrite.
