Diesel Engine Load Acceptance

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me where can I obtain the free information of the maximum load acceptance related to the brake mean effective pressure (BMEP) of the diesel engine? e.g. BS 5514...

Also when I get the value of BMEP, how can I know whether the engine can sustain since the load is calculated with kilowatts, not psi or kPa?

Are you looking at a high speed or medium speed set, and is it turbocharged? The type/matching of the turbocharger is the main criteria.
If you can tell me the exact engine I can give you a fairly accurate figure.

Sorry for the insufficient information. The engine speed is 1500 rpm with turbocharger. What I want to know how can I calculate the max. load acceptance related to the BMEP.
