Difference between 'coincident point' constraint and translate

Hello
I want to overlap 2 nodes, how does translating one over the other different from using 'constraint point' in Assembly? Having tried both, I do not see constraint point to actually bound any specific degrees of freedom for the selected nodes.

These constraints are only used to position part instances in assembly (like in CAD software). They can’t merge nodes or change their DOF’s. To merge nodes you can use tie constraint or Merge/Cut Instances tool.
