I find that the minimum design pressure of some pressure vessels is F.V. or -0.1MPa or -0.0175MPa. So I am confused and my question is that whether F.V.(Full vacuum) means -0.1MPa and what -0.0175MPa means? Thanks a lot.

FV = -0.1MPa for a vessel design. The -0.0175MPa means partial vacuum only, as design case of another vessel.

hi guys,

if full vacuum = -0.1 Mpa or 1 bar(g). Is this the measurement to calculate external pressure due to full vacuum?

I am just a beginner trying to make preliminary calculation to estimate a vessel pressure cost.

really thanks for your help.
