Different layers in title block in Inventor

I am working in Inventor 10. Have a title block that I input the title by going into "iProperties", then "Summary". I then input the title.
Is there a way to have one line of the title on one layer, then another line on another layer?
This way, at times, when plotting, I can turn one line of the title off by turning that layer off.
Thank you.

If this is possible (I do not have access to a copy of IV10), you would have to do it by editing the title block definition and moving the attribute to a different layer. In order to make this a permanent change you would need to edit the drawing sheet template and save it back to the template file location.

Maybe someone that has used IV10 could say for certain if this is possible.

If you mean to have a single iprop "summary"(that is long enough to carry down to the next line because you are forcing width in your titleblock) be broken up so you can put one line on one layer and the next line on another then the answer is no. If you have 2 iprops (1 for the first line of the title and 1 for the next) then the answer is yes.

Having the 1st line of the title in one iproperty and the 2nd line of the title in the 2nd iproperty may be what I could do. How do you create a 2nd iproperty for the same title block?

I didn't mean to imply you could add iprops.. I thought you might be using something like iprop "description" for line 1 and "summary" for line 2 or whatever. I use the part or assembly file iprops to fill in the titleblock upon view placement.

I understood you to mean:
1. You have two lines for your title in your title block, each line consisting of a different iProp.
2. You want to be able to turn off the print option for a single line/iProp via layers.

If this is the case, and it is possible in v10, you will need to edit the title block template. Select the title block from the model tree and change the attribute that corresponds to the iprop you want changed to a different layer.

I don't have access to Inventor right now as I use CATIA now at my job so I can't verify this, but if it is possible you will need to make the change there. Also if you want this to be a persistent change in all your TB's you need to edit the drawing template file itself and save it, changing the drawing you are currently working in will only effect the current drawing.

David,
Actually, he currently has a single iprop that spans 2 lines and wants the wrapped row on a different layer which is not possible.
