Our project uses 2 code in WPS which qualified to ASME SEC9(for Piping) & AWS D1.1(for Structural)

My question is if welder is only qualified in AWS D1.1 for 3G position, can he do welding for ASME SEC9 Same 3G position & parameters (Dia, procecess,Thickness,F6 & Pno.) or vice versa...

welder is only qualified to ASME sec9, can he do AWSD1.1 Welding given all range & parameters are same.

Welders are certified to respective code requirements (ASME and AWS) and are not interchangeable.
