hi
long time did not had any problems so was not on the forum but now i have one so here i am ................. last time i had pressure transducer problem but this time its differentail pressure transducer problem.
i am using a DRUCK model differentail pr tranducer of 0.7 bar d with tappings insatlled between 1m height of vertcial pipe of overall distance of 12m. i calibrated the trasnducer with -ve end open to atmosphere and postive with claibrater but by accident the technican placed the differenial ports wrong i.e. +ve port up and -ve port down. i am using water and water and air as working fluid for two set of experiments, one single pahse amd other mixture. the readings i got from DP for single phase of water are all negative ............while for airwater flow mixture first one or two values are -ve and than become postive increasingly. Now the problem i am faced is that i need to calculate the void frcation based on the readings i gotwhich are related with mixture drop to singlephase static drop but what i am getting values are sometimes larger than 1.................. i can not understand.... but i do know that the redaings are giving me something unique and different, but i dont have clue.
could any body explained me this or have experinced this?
