Does anyone have practicall, working knowledge of struvite control strategies. I know of ferric being used to lower ph, reducing precipitation potential to bind with phosphate and remove it from solution before struvite can form. I've heard that aluminium salts are more effective then iron.
I'm also curious if the addition of metal salts has the added benefit of binding odour generating proteins in the biosolids cake.
As opposed to the theory I'm wishing to hear about strategies that are currently in place and are effectively controlling struvite (chemical, water jetting of pipes, pigging, other)
Thanks
Andrew
