Digital indicating controller Chino LT230 1

We use Chino LT230 digital indicating controller in our water bath heater (Forain) with model

Lt230010000-10A

Suddenly it stopped to work (it don't even power up) it's installed with 2 other LT230 and the others works well, so do you have any idea what could be the reason? And is the problem in the LT230 itself or in the connections?

Those types of controllers labor under extreme price pressure and hence fail rather sooner than most devices. It may have opened its fuse but it is likely soldered in. If you go to the hassle of actually finding it, successfully identifying it, locating one, purchasing it, and successfully installing it, (after two weeks of hassles), it will likely blow immediately since the power supply switching device probably shorted out causing the fuse to go in the first place.

This is a commodity device - just buy another ~$150. This is much cheaper than your time.

yes i did find that the fuse was shorted, but i think it should save the lt230 at least, not the fuse and the controller got shorted? or what you think?

In every case that the I have replaced those fuses the unit has had a failure that caused the fuse to blow. So a replaced fuse blows too.

If you feel gutsy or stupid power the unit from a circuit breakered powerstrip, plugged into a circuit breakered outlet. Short the fuse and with fire extinguisher in hand and safety glass on, turn on the powerstrip. If the unit runs then go to the hassle of replacing the fuse with the exact replacement. More likely the powerstrip breaker will pop. (possibly ruining its breaker). Or something will explode in the unit. Demonstrating its failed state conclusively. If it actually runs it may still be bad and blow your correctly replaced fuse again.

See? A lot of effort. Better for your company that you just drop kick it and replace it.

we have another heater which have the same LT230 can i try the LT230 in the other heater plc ? if it worked then the problem is in the circuit of powersuplly
if it didn't work , then we will change it
( an i believe that it wont works ) like you say

It would be better to measure your disconnected heater element with an ohmmeter to check if it has the correct resistance.

I would not mess with your running controllers or you may have even less working systems.

well, i did measure the inlet vold and it was the same as the all others working lt230, but when i measured the output volt it show around 24 mv and the others show zero.
i didn't understand what you mean by measuring correct resistance, am sorry but am a fresh mechanical power engineer with have a very low electric information

Is there an Electrical type around? I am concerned that we may have a communication error and get you in trouble.

This is pretty easy stuff an I can tell you are struggling with it. I commend you for trying and think you might be better served by having someone local give you a hand.

Most electricians could help you with this.
