I am currently investigating possible repairs that can be made to a "failing" dike embankment and have been unable to find good references of practices. There is a creek that tends to flash in storm events that is separated from a reservior/old quarry by a dike. Seepage is evident between the two sources and seems to be causing the creek's bank of the dike to slump/erode. I have found a table from NRCS demonstrating effects of various streambank protection techniques, but does not state the actual practices, other than the category of "armoring" and various category. Any helpful references to useful reinforcements techniques, clays, or armoring?
