I have a 1.3713/1.3724 dia. pin with a .875 dia. hole thru it. The material is 15-5 heat treat 180/200 ksi (HRC40-43). The part is to be shot peened with shot # 170-330, intensity=.016A2, coverage=200%. How much dimensional change on the dia. may I expect?

Cougfan..

I doubt You will get more than 0.0004" change in this part on the OD (barely measureable with conventional micrometers).

CAUTION: carefully deburr/radius pin edges and the thru-hole "lips", 0.01"--0.03"R (0.02"-0.03"R recommended) to avoid "roll-over/distortion"... (slight bulging occurs where sharp edges are crushed down/out by the shot-blast stream).

Also, don't expect much of a peening affect in the holes beyond about 0.37 from ends... too deep.

Regards, Wil Taylor
