Hi all
I am fairly new to Catia V5. My question is: When I import a solid model into drafting and if I create any geometry ( say a line or a circle) in any particular view and try to dimension them from the center line (Or any reference) of that view it doesn't allow me to do it. I had to create again any reference and then I can dimension from that!!!! I am sure that there would be some solution for that.
Thanks in advance.

Are the 2D lines you are creating in Drafting in the same view as your solid? Lines must be created within the same view for dimensioning to work.

Hi Ahbugeye
Yes. The 2D lines and other geometry is created in the same view and still it doesn't work. Do we need to set any standards or anything to unlock (dimensioning parameters!!!!). Any help would be really appreciated.
