Dimensioning to a datum plane

Hello,

In the sketcher task environment, when I want to dimension a sketch entity to a datum plane, if there is another sketch line "on top of" that datum plane, that sketch line is automatically selected instead of the datum plane. The only way to dimension to the datum plane is via the quick pick dialog or by manually setting the selection filter.

Is there a way to set a "selection priority" in sketcher to datums? That would save a lot of hassle.

Try sketching in 3D space so you can select the datum plane easier.

It also appears there is a selection filter for Datums as well.

You've already listed your options, use QuickPick or set a filter. What more do you want?

Did you know that you can resize the datum planes so that they are easier to select?
When dimensioning to a datum plane I got into the habit of always using a perpendicular dimension. The datum plane must be picked first, but it just seems a little easier when doing it that way. It works nicer when the datum plane is on an angle too.
