Hi,

I created a sketch but somehow all the dimensions are hidden from me, when I try to redefine a dimension(say length of a line which I've already defined before) it warns me this dimension has already exist, I believe the dimensions are there but not display. Could you help me with this?

Did you "unblank all" (Ctrl+Shift+U)
Did you check layers ?

Hi,

I tried "unblank all", other hidden sketches showed up, but the dimensions are still missing, I attached a picture below.

I didn't add any layer, there is only one layer.

I've seen this occur in 8.5. A part cleanup solved the problem.

I tried on another new file with a simple rectangle, it still not showing the dimensions. There should be some button to turn the dimensions on and off.

Are the sketches "External" to an extrude / revolve ?
If not, try to make them external and then "Edit with rollback"

Before you edit the sketch right click on the sketch in your part history tree and say show dimensions. There used to be a show dimension and or show pmi option under show hide when editing a sketch. So you can try doing ctl+w or Show/Hide and say show dimensions. This command went missing in NX8.5 and was fixed in the latest patch. I do not know about NX8.

And if you can give as sample file.
We could see if the problem is following the part file.

"My english is bad ? That's why i'am french."

Hi Guys,

Thank you all for sharing! I solved this problem by closing up all files and reopen one of them, and it worked. I think it might because i have too many files open, and they eat up all memory, I was also experiencing slow reaction from NX, it's a sign of low memory. I did tried close the working file and reopen it, but not all the open files.

Thank you all again for helping me solve these trivial questions, I'm new to NX and these discussions are very encouraging and inspiring!
