I am working on a mating part to a customers product. They are using a male DIN 5480 spline that we have to interface to. What I have to reference is a competitor's drawing that calls out the hub spline as an N50x0.8x30x60xH9. We purchased the current (2006) version of parts 1 and 2 that seem to have all of the information for the nominal dimensions and the tooth form tolerances, but the standard only has any mention of tolerances on the tip and root diameters in their example table that has comprehensive data of the form I am used to seeing for gears. From the reference drawing I have and other threads I've looked through it seems that a full table is not usually provided when the 5480 short hand call out is used. How do the tip and root diameter LMC limits get determined if they are not directly called out. Am I missing something in the text of the standard?
Thanks in advance for the help.
