Hi Everyone,

I'm designing some components that have DIN and ASTM socket connections.

I'm looking for the dimensions of these sockets (entrance dia., bottom dia., and socket length, etc) for sizes 1/4 inch (DN 8) to 4 inch (DN 100) for materials PVC, CPVC, Polypropylene, and PVDF.

ASTM standard D2467 for PVC pipe fittings had the info I needed.
I also purchased DIN standard 8063-12, which didn't have the info I needed.

I would prefer not to purchase another standard without knowing for sure that the standard was exactly what I need.
I approached both organizations and received no helpful information.

Does anyone know for sure the standards that I need to complete this project?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Check out the George Fischer web site. They make both IPS and DIN dimension piping systems and may have the information you need on their site. Also may want to check Spears Manufacturing, although I don't know if they have the DIN info.

Hi jdarco,

Thanks for the information.
I've gone through the +GF+ web information previously, but I haven't found the entrance & bottom diameters, or the socket lenght info I need.
The Spears website has the ASTM socket information for Sch. 40 (D2466) and Sch. 80 PVC (D2467).

I'm really hoping that someone has downloaded the standards that I'm looking for, and can tell me which ones I need to purchase.
