Direct Sketch doesn't exist anymore in NX1903 3

Hi,

Direct Sketch doesn't exist anymore in NX1903

So the following process is not possible anymore (automatic 3D update)

I never really enjoyed direct sketch, I just want to be sure that Direct Sketch doesn't exist anymore in NX1903

Yes, it has been removed and the commands consolidated into the "sketch in task environment".

Yes, I had read the documentation, but it's not the same behavior, the live update is no more possible

I want this dynamic live update when I modify the sketch. I dislike this sketch environment.

Is there now another setting to get this live update?

This setting still exist but it doesn't work because direct sketch disapeared

So, I don't understand the phrase "the commands consolidated into the "sketch in task environment".

If you use Edit, and not Edit With Rollback, does it behave the way you want?

I never used Direct Sketch, and found it confused new users with two sketch tools.

Previously, when using direct sketch, you had the option to update the model as the sketch was being worked on. With the demise of direct sketch, I suspect that this option is also gone. Which begs the question, why is the option still shown in the customer defaults? I don't know. When sketching in the task environment, the model doesn't update until you "finish" the sketch and exit the sketch editor. A quick call to GTAC should be able to settle the matter.

I contacted GTAC and they ran into some issues when the new sketcher was implemented. They are working on fixing this in the future releases. Missing this direct sketch I hope will get fixed in a timely manner. I can't stand hitting finish sketch then my 3D modeling updating.

Hi,

I have found that from Direct Sketch, It remain only 3 icons (profil, rectangle and circle) that you can add near the create sketch button.
By using them, you can create like previous direct sketch process, but you will be in environment

In fact only the dynamic update process has disappeared.
