Directional valve voltage

We bought and used hydraulic extruder. The machine has one directional valve electrically operated

There is no nameplate on the valve and I dont have any other information about the valve and I need to know what voltage and type (DC or AC) to use with this valve

I have measured the pilot valve coils ohms and they both give 34,3 ohm

Any help?

You have not provided enough details to be able to tell you the rated voltage.

Most common voltages are 12, 24, 110 and 240 for older units.

I would suggest swapping the valve - the pilot section that is. You can buy them from EBay for less than £100 / $100 or other currencies. They are not expensive and looking at the pictures, that valve is not looking very reliable. So the long term best solution may to buy a valve.

What other details should I provide? I do not have more details. I disassembled the valve to look at the solenoid and I saw that the magnetic core is made of laminated sheets so I figure that the solenoid must be AC

I am think on starting from the lower voltages and then going up

I agree, there is not much information that you can provide here. To save time and money, just buy a new one. Even if you do identify the correct voltage and power, there is no guarantee that it will actually work.

If you have the whole machine, can't you look at the control panel wiring to see what voltage they use?

I cant see using DC unless there are other DC components on the machine. And like John said you should be able to trace the wires back to the control panel. Looking at some DO3/DO5 catalogs it is likely that they are 110-120vac. ISZ

The machine came without the electrical panel but I did a test going up in AC voltages and the valve works on 110V ac
