Hey,

I'm having trouble with some multiline text in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2007. I've been adding multiline text on different geometry spots over the past 3 days and it's all on it's own layer. Suddenly now, it disappears when I zoom into it and when I zoom way out I can see it again. when you hover your cursor over the area, it shows up with this frame around it, but when you take your cursor away, it's gone. Driving me crazy! Please help.

Did you add (dynamic Civil 3D) labels? Or multi-line text (AutoCAD) objects?

Dynamic Civil 3D objects & labels have two layers associated with them: the current layer when they were drawn, and the layer associated with the STYLE they were drawn on.

Turn all your layers on and you'll probably find your labels on the 0 layer. What you're seeing in the box is the Civil 3D dynamic read-out of data related to the cursor location and the nearest C3D object (i.e. alignment).

I would:
1. Set up a style to show the information you want shown, on the layer you want it.
2. Click on the Alignment and right-click. Select "Edit Alignment Labels."
3. Hit the red X to delete all the labels associated with the alignment.
4. Add back the labels you want.

This will probably be helpful:

hey, taking the risk to appear blunt :p i suggest you to check if the text layer is frozen or something like that.
you may also try to give a _regen or a _viewres (type: 20000)or also, try to purge your file...

oh, or you may had your scale factor in the properties palette so big that your "O" hole is bigger than your screen... (im kidding now! but that happened to me once)

I have this exact same problem except I am using AutoCAD 2009.

The font disapears in the viewports when I change it from Arial to Times New Roman. When I zoom out like you said it becomes visible. See if the font is visible for you when you change it to Arial. This is very annoying.
