hello

im doing a non linear analyses on a port and i want to plot the deformation in function of the applied force in a graph.
the force is being applied linear from 0 to 300 000N in 2000sec. can anny1 tell me how to put the deformation in a graph then?

kind regards

Hye,

What you mean is that you want to apply Force vs Time load on the structure right?
If this is the case,
--> you can select Force from the Load function,
--> In Magnitude, change Expression to Field,
--> In Specify Field, select Table Constructor,
--> then in Independent tab, select Time,
--> below the table, there is a space to edit the value, type 0(space)300000 (Enter), then, 2000(space)300000 (Enter). Then press OK. this is how to apply the force. Try it.

Hope this is helping. :)

Hello,

I am trying to construct a force vs displacement graph but I am having a few problems. Firstly when I follow the instructions above the force acts in the opposite direction and no matter what I do I can not get it to reverse. Secondly how do you construct the graph? where are the results?

I need to compare the results with experimental results (3 point bend test).

Thank you

Duncan

@ midoriaaien that works but how can i make the graph ? do i have to change anny settings to see the force in function of the displacement ?
