Good afternoon everybody,

in my work, i must simulate the viscoplastic behaviour of a metallized part of my assembly, but i got an error so that the simulation does not converge. This error indicate that the displacement of a node reached a too important value, which is greater than the possible limit (about 1e37 !).

But i have verified, and my assembly isn't underconstrained : i set the value of the general displacement vector of a node to 0.

In spite of this, the simulation doesn't converge.

Could someone help me to understand such an error ?

Thanks in adavnce for all your help.

Best regards.
K.J.

A portion of your model is underconstrained. Check your components, try local static loads to verify constraint.
