I'm using V5R13 and I can't seem to get formulas and relations to appear in the specification tree. I've tried to 'activate' the options in the Options>>Infrastructure>>Product Structure>>Tree Customization but that doesn't seem to do it. This has been frustrating me for several deays now.

Thanks

You're looking in the wrong place...

Tools -> Options -> Parameters and Measure -> Knowledge

I've tried that before and it doesn't seem to work either. I find this issue strange because I've tried everything the online documentation says. I'm not even sure what the underlying problem is, if you could help that would be great.

Thanks

I didn't mention it, because it seemed to be covered by your first post, but also make sure you have this:

Thanks, I feel really dumb now. I thought I'd done that already but obviously not!

Hi,

This was a nice illustrated reply from Solid7 but if you take time to use the search with 'parameter tree' you could have found thread560-43949 from jan 2003

This is just a reminder to use the search tool

Eric - with all due respect...

I don't get too hung up about repeat posts. Many times, when people ask questions, they may not know what they are searching for, or the proper search terms. This is especially true in terms of newbies. As long as it is an intelligent question, I, personally try to be a little forgiving, as it has happened to me, also - and I'm not slack about searching first at all.

Besides, sometimes a question is answered better the second time around. And, since I'm hosting the image on my site, the accompanying text costs basically nothing in the Eng-Tips MySQL.
