dissolving sub ass'y with virtual components 1

I made a sub ass'y and put it in my ass'y planning to dissolve
it and now I can't because it says I have virtual components. How can I fix this?

Save the VCs as separate parts, then dissolve the assy.

How do I know which ones they are?

They will be the ones you don't have part models of.

In the Feature manager, they are shown inside square brackets [part name^assy name].

You will need to either expand the sub-assy, or open the sub-assy separately, in order to see its components.

I have opened the sub assy and there are no brackets, anywhere.

I am not allowed to send anything. I think I am going to have to start over, but I would really like to avoid that.

Was the sub-assy created by doing a "Save as" from another sub-assy?

Are there any sub-sub-assys?


Open the sub-assy in SW Explorer and use the References tab to see where the VCs exist. They will be shown in red in the report, and the Full Path should be listed as <internal to assembly>.
