Distribution of wind suction on walls

In ASCE 7 the figures show a uniform suction on the leeward walls.

It feels like this is a simplification and the suction would tend toward to 0 at the middle of the wall length (and mid-height for wind over the roof).

Does this make sense or is the suction really uniform over the length of the leeward wall regardless of how long the wall is? Anyone know of information on the actual distribution of wind forces on a wall?

The commentary of ASCE talks a lot about how the pressures are developed. You have to remember we are trying to account for a highly variable thing with a simple approach. This is part of why we have MWFRS and C&C separately. The pressure distribution over the C&C zones would tend to agree with except that it doesn't go down to zero.

For a given direction of wind maybe your intuition is correct, but what about any other possible direction??
