Friends

I need some advice on following matter

We have to install 300 RT chillers for HVAC System for our Semi Rig Project.

The maximum operating pressure on water side is 10 Bar
The Maximum operating pressure on Refrigerant side is 25 Bar

My question is. This product needs DNV certification or not?

Biddu,

Unlucky for you, DNV have not their rules published on the web (at least not some months ago). Others, such as BV ( and ABS ( have their rules on the web, making it easier to find if it's required or not. You could check the requirements for piping for BV / ABS, as the rules are quite similar.

Don't know if this helps,

we have similar equipment on our rig, although we are ABS classed, we had to get ABS certification. DNV will probably require certification as the class rules are pretty similar with regard to pressure vesels.

Biddu,
What Class Society is the rig ?
I would ask them directly as to whether it is a class requirement if these need to be approved and surveyed as 'pressure vessels'. The flag authority may also have requirements don't forget.
Good Luck
