do Nylok patches work?

I need to find a solution to increase the vibration resistance of a die cast nut tighten to a plastic housing. Due to space limitations I can not use a washer so I was thinking to use a Nylok type patch (maybe 360°). Did anybody out there successfully used this &quot;value added&quot; solution?. Are you saying that you are wanting to use a Nylock nut on a threaded plastic part?<br>If you are the Nylock will destroy the plastic.&nbsp;&nbsp;They do not work so well with soft materials.
