I need to find a solution to increase the vibration resistance of a die cast nut tighten to a plastic housing. Due to space limitations I can not use a washer so I was thinking to use a Nylok type patch (maybe 360°). Did anybody out there successfully used this "value added" solution?. Actually there are two steps here :first I am not quite sure if the maker even considers metal to plastic applications (I am awaiting some info in this respect) and second if these solutions proved in real life to be efficient (uniformity of the patch, reliability, etc)
Any insights would be greatly appreciated
thank you
cristina haiduc
chaiduc@fortlock.com

Are you saying that you are wanting to use a Nylock nut on a threaded plastic part?
If you are the Nylock will destroy the plastic. They do not work so well with soft materials.
