Hello everyone
Does ØMn > 1.2Mcr and ØMn > 2.0Mu as per ACI 318 should be satisfied at every section of Hollowcore or only at critical section where moment is maximum i.e at center?
See attachment from concise beam flexure graph. Would this be considered as section not safe in flexure as the above condition is not satisfied at length 1.435m? And why does this value greater at 1.435m and not at 4.2m ? How the graph of "minimum flexural strength required" is obtained? whats the concept behind it? Thanks.
