Hi everyone,
I do not know if I am in the right place asking this question.
My fridge/freezer is quite old, it has two compressors for the fridge and for the freezer and therefore two thermostats. Both compressors work very well and it is still in great shape. My freezer thermostat became faulty. I had a repair man come over and fitted a Danfoss 25T65 thermostat.
I attached the circuit diagram of the unit is attached.
The freezer has a super-freeze button and a thermometer in the form of LED's and also am alarm LED which should switch on if the temperature goes higher than -15 deg Celsius.
I am also attaching the explode view and also the technical specs. According to these specs the original thermostat was Ranco K54-L1924. I also found that the same thermostat is used on a Siemens and a Bosch unit.

My problem is that now the freezer is not working correctly. The super-freeze button will only work if the thermostat switches on and the alarm LED comes on when I switch on the super-freeze. Can someone figure out what might be the problem or if the thermostat is the right one.

Thanks.

I would imagine an alarm IED gets your attention.. IED = Improvised Explosive Device.

I see no circuit diagram.

I see only one SINGLE compressor in the attached exploded diagram and so am confused.

Thanks Keith. I have uploaded the files again. It seems only one file can be uploaded. Yes you are right about the image showing one compressor. If you go through the pages you see that there are two thermostats. Could it be that both of them are the same? On the circuit diagram there are two compressors. Thanks again.

The schematic is way more useful...

However, I've spent an hour looking for the schematic of the so-called "25T65". I can't find it. Without it I'm stumped at even offering a suggestion.

Danfoss has 8 service thermostats. Can you suggest one of them please? I am not sure about active and passive signal.
Thanks

You may try an appliance repair forum like ifixit

I only have experience with my dishwasher.... but when you google for the model number there is surprisingly much information as long as that is a somewhat common problem. Never had a fridge issue, but I assume thermostats are a common easily problem resolved by DIY.
Many appliances are surprisingly easy to diagnose and repair and parts are available all over the internet as well. That saves a lot since the repair guy labor is the most expensive (and in your case doesn't even work).
