Hi
i am checking double angle shear connection. I have staggered bolt pattern. The beam is W 14x22. it has 4 in cope and depth of cope is 1.25 in. In Angle, the first bolt is located at 1.5 in (edge distance) from angle and in beam the bolt is at 3 in (edge distance) from angle. The angle thickness is 5/16 in. It has 3 rows of bolts. What is the shear capacity of this connection. Can i use same Table 10.1 from AISC book and to check beam web available strength - what edge distance i have use in that table?
