Doubt Hard Disk 2.5 + case

If you eject the 2.5" HDD + case USB 3.0 in Windows 10 and then hit the HDD case with your hand, will it damage it and generate bad blocks? Did the shock move the HDD on the table?

Did you actually see the notification that it was safe to remove the disk? I find that my Windows seemingly likes to hang on to my disks and often have to shut down the computer to get "clean" eject".

If you didn't see the notification, then it's possible some data got corrupted. Or, it's possible that the disk was still spinning when you hit it.
