Where I work there is a water tube boiler, I noticed that the welds of the water wall tubes to the downcomer do not have full penetration.

I am not an expert on the subject, but when reading PW-9, it is understood that these welds need full penetration.

Should I contact the manufacturer or is there anything to fear?

I will try to attach an image.

Thanks!

If you have a concern, contact the manufacturer and include the specifics of the boiler. You could include a couple of photographs as you did here.

Best regards - Al

These are ok. The ends are rolled originally (as new) and only welded as a repair when there is a rolling leak. Check the maintenance manual for more info.
