Hi,

We've recently upgraded to R15 and it seems that this version will not allow me to add a funnel to a cumulated dimension. The option is there under the properties for said dimension, however the 'tick box' is dead and will not toggle on or off. Has anyone else experienced this? Can anyone shed some light on this subject?

Thanks in advance....

Hemmer.

I take it every one else can add funnels to their cumulated dimensions in R15 then?

Can anyone shed some light on what I'm doing wrong? Does Dassualt have a web site for posing questions to the software developers?

Cheers for that KooKoo.

I left a message with IBM 6 days ago and am still waiting to hear back. Luckily this is only a minor problem, but had this been anything major I think I would, by now, be very annoyed at IBM for their support - or lack of it.

The support problem is not with IBM. Generally, they respond within a few hours. I have, however, had PMRs wait 6 months without a response from Dassault.

According to IBM, the response targets from DS are as follows:
Sev 1 PMRs 14 days
Sev 1 PMRs w/ APARs 21 days
Sev 2 PMRs 21 days
Sev 2 PMRs w/ APARs 28 days
Sev 3/Sev 4 PMRs 60 days.

As for your funnel dimension problem, sorry but we don't allow them here. I suspect that the problem might lie with your Drawing Standards file. You might start checking there.

Cheers! I'll take a look Catiajim - I take it that the drawing standards for funnel dims is locatable from the catenv file?
Having lost my unique sheet sizes from the cat collection standard already it seems you're probably going to be right. Not sure whats happened over here but a few things have been playing me up on this front for no apparent reason. I suppose those xml docs should really be read only - mine certainly aren't, yet!

Yes, they should be read only. We have 2 environments set up with copies of all of the Drawing Standards and CATSettings. Nobody has write access to the PROD directories. Only the CATIA Admin has write access to the TEST directories. The Admin makes changes to these, sends out a test request, and when they get approvals, the files are transferred via batch to the PROD directories. Works pretty well - especially when I mess one of these files up in TEST. I can just re-copy the PROD files and start over. Believe me, it has happened. :)
